Know. Grow. Go!

These are the words that we use at Calvary Chapel of Southern Maryland to challenge ourselves everyday: Know the foundation of Christ’s teachings, grow in these teachings, and go and share the hope of Christ.

The Word of God is relevant NOW, because the Bible answers questions and solves problems that we are all dealing with TODAY. Whether you are afraid, alone, or just looking for real answers, we believe Jesus Christ provides real hope and is the foundation upon which we should build our lives

Calvary Chapel of Southern Maryland exists to glorify God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and to grow a community of believers in the knowledge of Jesus Christ — equipping them to serve one another and to effectively take the Good News of God’s love, mercy and grace to Waldorf and beyond.

Calvary Chapel has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Jesus Christ and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only their over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ.

We believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is His (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.
